View at the top of the stairs of Calvary or Golgotha, the place where Jesus was crucified.
The first chapel (right) is owned by the Catholics and is Station 11 on the Via Dolorosa.
Just beyond that (center) is a small statue of Mary, Our Lady of Sorrows, which is Station 13.
On the far left is the Greek Orthodox Calvary, which contains the actual Rock of Calvary (Station 12) around which this church was built.

Medici altar in the Catholic Calvary chapel.
This was made in Florence in 1588 and donated to the church by Cardinal Medici.
Four scenes associated with the Passion of Jesus are hammered in silver on the front of the altar.

                            Calvary or Golgotha.
This Greek Orthodox chapel is built around what is believed to be the Rock of Calvary on which Christ was crucfied.
The rock can be viewed under glass on either side of the central altar, and the site of the Crucifixion can be touched under the central altar.
